'Kordus Client' - Available now!

28 Oct 2026

Kordus Client is now available - a custom message board for the Mike Klubnika and Kordus Interactive OÜ community, developed by Lyra Rebane.

For a long time the Mike Klubnika discord has been in a read-only format, meaning players weren't able to chat with each other, and would have to resort to other means like subreddits or fan communities.

The main reason for this was that for a long time I wanted to design a custom message board that ties into the games and their design language. Having a public Discord server seemed boring - game merchandise like shirts, vinyl, physical editions, etc, are always closely tied to the games, while a Discord server is just ... a server on Discord.

Don't get me wrong, they're great! I also visit servers of the games and their communities that I enjoy. But also, I find them a bit lame. Spoiler alert for Getting Over It, but imagine reaching the top of the mountain, and instead of a chat on the mountain, it's instead a URL to a 3rd party software that isn't affiliated with the game or the developer.

What happens when the 3rd party software adds a shitty update? What if they change the entire UI and look of the client, and the developer has no control over it? These things actually aren't that important, but they greatly bother me.

So a couple of months ago, with the 5 year anniversary coming up, I figured it's time. We worked together with Lyra Rebane over the last couple of months, and the result is Kordus Client: a message board with a relatively aggressive design language, and an overall look and feel mirroring the familiar Y2K aesthetic, and the previously released games.

We use Steam for logins - security is one reason, but it also lets us check the Steam profile to see if they have any of the Mike Klubnika games in their library. This is really important for me. At the end of the day if you join a community, it's a good feeling to know that other people are there for the same reasons.

With all that being said, this client is only possible because of you. I couldn't have done anything of what I've been doing for the past years if it weren't for the players. And I will be forever grateful. Happy 5 year anniversary, and thank you for the continued support!
